I finally got around to getting myself into Summit Media Labs the other week, and man is that place awesome.  Got a chance to chat with Matt and Johnny and let me tell you, these guys are doing things right!  They let me use the Camtrol Sniper 1080KS with the Hero 3, and it was instantly a must have setup for POV video.  The locking ball joints provided quick adaptability with a sturdy feel.  This was a nice change from the typical old ski pole with GoPro Plastic mount.  (fun fact) : The day before, I broke my pole mount for the ski pole filming at Breckenridge.

I can’t wait to get more chances to use this rig with POV cams.  From my initial review of footage shot on the 1080KS, it looks SOLID!  I will be putting together a comparison video so you can see what the Sniper brings to the table.  If this is any indication, the rest of their rigs are going to be a sheer delight to use.  I can’t wait.
